Telegram's self-custody TON Wallet, developed by $1 billion-valued The Open Platform, is now available to U.S. users within the messaging app. The integration enables seamless crypto transactions for Telegram's 87 million American users, following its 2023 global launch that saw 100 million activations.

"We've embedded crypto natively into Telegram as part of daily communication," said CEO Andrew Rogozov, positioning the wallet as a Web3 gateway rather than an add-on feature. The TON Foundation supports this stateside rollout, marking a strategic expansion for blockchain adoption in mainstream messaging platforms.
